SON NOGUERA was created by Fiona Windisch. The designer offers a fresh interpretation of the traditional motifs commonly found in the majorcan homes named Robe de llengües, each product keeping the custom alive, thread by thread. Matched with colorful linen pareos, clutches, towels, cushions and more.
SON NOGUERA - Built in 1513 in the high part of Palma, the stones of this family house bear the traces of Spanish, Catalan, Moorish, Austrian, Hungarian and French visitors of bygone days.
It is there, amid the olive trees, sea breezes and nearby fields that the designer Fiona Windisch spent part of her childhood. She has made the history of Majorca her own, learned its traditions and absorbed the islanders’ way of life.
From her memories she has fashioned a promise. SON NOGUERA is a tribute to the know-how of the Majorcan people, who have been making the roba de Llengües for many generations. Woven close to the family home on factory looms, these fabrics capture Majorca’s hardiness, its light and the sea.
